For the upcoming March, we have chosen to travel to the heart of Poland’s snow-covered landscapes. Our journey takes us to the impressive Tatra Mountains, the country’s top destination for ski mountaineering enthusiasts. With peaks reaching over 2,400 meters, deep valleys, and pristine alpine terrain, the Tatras offer the perfect combination of challenging ascents and thrilling descents.
But Poland’s charm extends far beyond the slopes. Between our excursions, we will enjoy the warmth of traditional mountain villages such as Zakopane, which combines local architecture, exquisite traditional cuisine, and immediate access to ski mountaineering routes. Zakopane is known as Poland’s winter capital and the cradle of Polish mountaineering, where some of the country’s top alpine climbers developed their skills.
Just a short distance from Poland, the Spálená Valley in Slovakia offers another spectacular destination for ski mountaineering. Known for its untouched slopes, serene alpine forests, and dramatic ridgelines, this hidden gem provides both exhilarating descents and peaceful moments in nature.
From the wild beauty of its winter trails to the rich cultural heritage that colors its towns, Poland offers a unique ski mountaineering experience, blending the thrills of high-altitude adventure with authentic European charm.
